Curious about connecting with others beyond words? Join us for an intuitive workshop where we explore drawing in an embodied way. In this experience, participants engage in a ritual that combines movement with diverse drawing techniques – using both hands, feet, and even with eyes closed. You’ll draw on paper placed on various parts of the body, such as the back, belly, and head, stimulating different tactile sensations and perceptions. This practice invites your body and mind to relax, fostering focus and imagination. Throughout the workshop, we cultivate a creative flow and build trust in ourselves and each other. There’s just one rule: no words.
This session is open to both children and adults. After the ritual, there will be time to share your experience over tea. The workshop lasts 1,5 to 2 hours.
Location: New Metropolis Nieuw-West (Burgemeester Rendorpstraat 1, 1064 EL, Amsterdam).
About DAY Collective
DAY Collective is an artist duo consisting of Dorota Radzimirska and Yulia Ratman, based in Lycka, Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Their artistic research involves participatory performances and installations from soft sculptures and intuitive drawings. It manifests the power of consciousness and aims to cultivate spirit. In the participatory performances they apply embodied interactions with people and the environment; these are intimate wordless experiences. Everyone is welcome to join them. In the installations, people are invited to interact with soft sculptures, sit, lie or hug them, and contemplate the drawings. Both in performances as well as in installations, the narrative evolves during the process, from within. It intends to activate the senses, intuition, and imagination. In this way, a new connection with yourself, others, and the environment can be awakened.
